Selection Criteria:
Selection for The Order of Omega is based upon participation in activities,
leadership in organizations, and service to The Ohio State University and
community. Membership is an honor and selection will be made with that in
mind.
To be eligible for candidacy for The Order of Omega the following minimum
requirements must be met:
- One full year of residence at The Ohio State University
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 of higher
- At least 90 credit hours
- Candidate must be a members in good standing with their respective fraternal
organization
NOTE: Resignation, suspension, or expulsion from your respective
fraternal organization shall result in termination of membership in Order of
Omega.
Selection/Induction Details:
If selected for membership, students must plan on attending the initiation
ceremony to be held November 15, 2009 6:00 pm. This ceremony is
mandatory to confirm membership in The Order of Omega. Location will be
announced upon receiving acceptance into the organization.
To be considered a member in good standing, one must attend general body
meetings and other events sponsored by The Order of Omega, along with
maintaining their GPA and acting in accordance with the values of the
organization.
With your one-time membership dues of $50, you will receive
a membership pin and quarterly newsletter. In addition, your dues will help
cover the costs of social activities, initiation fees, and national dues.
This must be paid prior to initiation. Chapters are encouraged
to cover this fee for their members as a way to recognize and support the
leaders they have produced.
All applicants will be notified of the selection decision after the start of
